These are some testimonials from happy customers.
When looking to have a renovation done to our two bedroom oceanfront condominium at Inn Of The Sea on Vancouver Island, I was hoping to find a company that could handle the whole job on budget and on time. A company that understood my design concept and who could render the finished job matching my vision. I met Philip at his shop in Ladysmith and I instantly liked and trusted him. He was knowledgeable in every aspect of the job: materials, plumbing, electrical, painting and finishing. My husband and I live in Vancouver and were going to be out of town for the first month of construction. I told Philip I needed a team in place that could work on their own and make sound decisions in the heat of the moment, and in our absence. Three Guys Construction delivered on every front, and always with good humour and good cheer. Philip's right hand man, Ken, is a very seasoned carpenter and his workmanship was superb and, like Philip, always in a hard working and upbeat mood. The finished renovation is breathtakingly beautiful. I had stated at the outset that crown molding was not in my budget. This was something I could add at a later time. As things were coming to a close, Philip, as a surprise gift, did several rooms in gorgeous 5 inch crown molding. Seriously, what other company would do this! And his wife Leah dropped by after the renovation was done with the most beautiful floral arrangement. So thoughtful and appreciated! But here's the best story of renovation valour: our large fridge could not be delivered up our tight staircase, so Philip contacted Freisen's tool rentals to come with a bobcat. Rigging it out with several palettes, Philip (with Clint Eastwood heroism) rode the forklift up with the fridge to the second floor and between Ken and Philip, they got my new appliance in place unscratched. They saved the day, not only in this instance but with so many other unexpected renovation "surprises". Philip answered all my "can we do this?" questions with a big smile saying, "No problem." And it got done. I have renovated three properties and I have never had such a wonderful company to work with. I felt we were in complete partnership. On other projects I needed to be supervising every inch of the way but Philip is an amazing captain of his ship. He and his crew allowed me to just carry on with my own job and life, while he took care of everything for me. We were on a critical deadline to finish the project due to vacation rental guests arriving. We literally had just one day to get everything back in order. Philip and Ken spent this last day helping us hang the curtains, mirrors, artwork, shelves, hangers. This is the kind of people they are. They pitched in out of the goodness of their hearts where any other contractor would have been long gone once the last nail went in. Their kindness made me cry. Renovating is stressful but somehow they managed to make it fun. Together we created a stunning space. It's a work of art, and even though it was my home, they treated it like it was their own. All around, it was a true labour of love.
I will close out by saying I couldn't imagine a more deserving contractor to win this BBB award. It has been with complete confidence that I have recommended this company to my fellow owners in our strata complex. When I first met Philip, I asked him how he came by the name "Three Guys Construction". He replied that his mother-in-law would often have him do jobs around her home, and one day she said to him, "Philip, you do the work of three guys". And by golly he does. And here's the real sweet part: he does it with a smile.
If you want a job done right the first time and someone that will totally work with you he is the guy. Very pleasant and easy to work with and takes your task on as his own while working within a budget that can be lived within. He is now coming back to install a new sink design for both bathrooms along with granite for each of the counter tops. We have other projects after this and we will trust him with those as well. We are so pleased with all the outstanding work he has done to make our home and our outside amazing. We would totally recommend him and his company Three Guys Construction.Joe and Kathy Downey
Our kitchen was transformed from dark and dowdy to a masterpiece within a few hours. Philip Myburgh and his team work magic! They were so professional, prompt and their commitment to perfection is obvious. The character of the granite itself is outstanding, and whoever cut the slab carefully thought out how to carry the theme of Mother Nature’s paintbrush from the large island over to the neighboring counter. Seams were kept to a minimum, are hairline, and what few there are can barely be seen due to the expertise in their finishing process.Elaine and Robin Halford
Our master bathroom was outdated and the shower was leaking through the floor so we had Philip from Three Guys Construction do a complete re-model for us. Within a week we had a new bathroom and it looks fabulous! He took out all of the old tile, toilet, shower, counter tops and sinks and replaced them all. We had a wonderful experience with Three Guys Construction. Philip is very trustworthy and so efficient. We didn’t even know there was construction going on in the house. Everything was kept very clean and the crew was very respectful of our home and our time. We will definitely be calling Philip again for any future work we need done and strongly encourage everyone else to do the same. We just can’t say enough good things about Three Guys and our experience with them. Thank you, from a very satisfied customer.Dorothy Friesen
